Bernard Zaborniak

I recently finished my computer science studies at HTW Berlin. It took me a bit longer than the standard duration of studies, as I was working on quite a few personal game projects on the side, through which I learned a lot.

I started developing games in summer 2018. After working on several university projects in teams of up to 8 people and on one professional project (Gemüse VR), I have grown in terms of organisation and development skills since 2018, but there is still much to learn. I experienced my biggest growth so far while working at KING Art Games in Bremen in 2021.

Through my studies I specialize in programming, but I also spend time familiarising other areas, like drawing/painting, music production and 3D modeling/rigging.

As a computer science student at HTW Berlin I spend most of my time working on personal game projects. Now I’m hoping to expand my skills and gain experience by doing an internship in a professional team.

Since my early years I’ve been fascinated by creating something new on my own. Starting with playing around in map editors for games like Heroes oM&M 3 or Cossacks or trying myself at level design and simple quest and encounters scripting in the Call of Juarez 2 Editor “ChromeEd”. My serious contact with game development started rougly in spring 2018, where i picked up Unity. I couldnt let go of it since for longer than a month. And i can say I have grown pretty much in termns of organisation and development skills since 2018, but there is still much to learn.
